Chase, Crash Follows Antioch Shooting

A car crash during a chase following a shooting injured a woman in Antioch.

ANTIOCH, TN — A woman is hospitalized after crashing her car into a rock wall following an apparent shooting in Antioch late Tuesday night.

The woman and her boyfriend had been arguing with three men, according to police, and when they decided to de-escalate the situation by leaving, one of the men shot at the couple's car. The 21-year-old male driver lost control of the car, slamming into a rock wall near the intersection of Old Hickory Boulevard and Murfreesboro Road.

The woman, 18, hit her head against the windshield and broke her wrist. She is expected to be OK. The driver was uninjured.

The three men escaped and there is no suspect description available.
