Driver Crashes Into Tree On Bell Road
A pick-up truck driver was critically injured when he drove off Bell Road and hit a tree early Sunday.
NASHVILLE, TN — A pick-up driver was critically injured after driving off Bell Road and hitting a tree, causing the tree to fall into the road.
Metro Police say the man was hauling a utility trailer and he drove off the road near Harbor Lights Drive around 4:30 a.m. The reason he left the roadway is unclear. The man was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with critical injuries, but is expected to survive.
A stretch of Bell Road was closed for several hours Sunday morning as crews removed the tree from the travel lanes.
