Driver Critically Injured In I-24 Crash Near Antioch
Police say a man left the roadway, hitting a rock wall around 1:30 a.m. Sunday.
ANTIOCH, TN — A man is fighting for his life after an early morning wreck on Interstate 24 Sunday.
Metro Police say the man drove off the side of I-24 near Haywood Lane around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, hitting a rock wall, then crossing back into traffic before hitting the concrete barrier on the median. He was ejected from the car.
He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses told police the man was speeding prior to the crash, but it's unclear why he drove off the road initially.
