Driver In Fatal Antioch Hit And Run Stops Briefly, Speeds Off
A 55-year-old woman on her way to church was killed in a hit and run on Hamilton Church Road.
ANTIOCH, TN — A 55-year-old woman was killed Saturday morning when she was hit by a car crossing Hamilton Church Road. Ayda Abdelsayed, 55, was walking to St. Pishoy Coptic Orthodox Church and was hit by a small black car around 7:45 a.m. Abdelsayed was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she died.
Witnesses told police that the driver of the car stopped briefly after hitting Abdelsayed before driving away.
