Drowning Victim Found In Percy Priest

ANTIOCH, TN — The body of an apparent drowning victim was found in Percy Priest Lake Sunday afternoon.

Swimmers near the Hamilton Creek boat ramp found the body around 5:30 p.m. The swimmers told police they thought a second body was also in the water, but a subsequent search by sonar did not locate any other victims. The body — that of a man in his late 20s to early 30s — was turned over to the Medical Examiner for further investigation. Investigators said he appeared to have been in the water most of the day.
