Early Morning Fiery Multi-Vehicle Crash Blocks I-24
A wreck involving at least five vehicles blocked traffic for hours on I-24 Friday morning.

NASHVILLE, TN — A fiery crash involving a wrecker, a semi-truck and at least three other cars blocked Interstate 24 near Bell Road for hours Friday morning.
Around 2:30 a.m., a silver car was swerving through traffic, according to police, and then hit the median, went back across traffic, hitting two other cars and a guardrail. A tow truck stopped to help and then was hit by a semi, which flipped and went up in flames. Numerous people were hurt, but only one was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The semi was uprighted and then towed, though one of the trailers remained on the shoulder. All lanes re-opened after 6:30 a.m.
