Former Antioch Teacher Pleads Not Guilty To Child Porn Charges

Ex-music teacher Jarrett Jones pleaded not guilty to 30 charges related to a child porn sting.

NASHVILLE, TN — A former Metro Schools music teacher pleaded not guilty to 30 child pornography charges Wednesday.

Jarrett Jones, 30, is accused of surreptitiously recording 40 girls changing clothes for school musicals and plays in a closet at Napier Elementary where he taught music prior to becoming assistant band director at Antioch High School.

Police say they also found more 1,000 explicit images of minors unrelated to Napier on Jones' hard drive.

He was initially charged with two counts of especially aggravated sexual exploitation of minors and three counts of sexual exploitation of minors. He was later indicted on 30 more charges in the case. Given the eight to 12 year minimum sentences on each charge, Jones, who worked at Napier from 2011 to 2015 before transferring to Antioch High, potentially faces life imprisonment.
