Gunman Wanted in Two South Nashville Attacks

Metro Police suspect the same person was behind two shooting in South Nashville Wednesday.

ANTIOCH, TN — Metro Police believe the same gunman pulled the trigger in two shootings south of downtown Wednesday night. In the second shooting, bullets were fired at a car with three children inside.

The first shooting, on the 100 block of Lewis Street, was reported about 11:05 p.m. A man was shot outside a home when gunfire erupted from a passing vehicle. That man was taken to the hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Minutes later, a man inside a car with a woman and three children between the ages of 8 and 15 was driving near Piccadilly Road in Antioch when his car was struck by bullets. The man was shot in the arm and leg, drove the woman and kids to their home on Woburn Way and called 911.

The man was taken to a hospital to be treated for multiple gunshot wounds. His injuries are not expected to be life-threatening.

The suspect was described as a black man in a gold or silver 4-door sedan with a sunroof and tinted windows.

Investigators are still working to determine a motive.
