Joelton Man Shot In Face Dies In 'Drug Deal Gone Bad': Police

A man died after being shot in the face at a South Nashville apartment complex Thursday.

NASHVILLE, TN — A Joelton man died Thursday after being shot in the face during what police believe was a drug deal gone bad.

Ahmad Osborne, 18, died at Vanderbilt University Medical Center after he was shot in the face at the Glastonbury apartments around 2:45 p.m. Thursday. (For more updates on this story and free news alerts for your neighborhood, sign up for your local Middle Tennessee Patch morning newsletter.)

Osborne was driving a red 2007 Ford Mustang with another 18-year-old at the time of the shooting, after which the pair went to Massman Drive.

The second 18-year-old was being interviewed by detectives. A pistol was found on the floorboard of the Mustang.
