Mysterious Death Baffles Nashville Police
A 56-year-old man died hours after he was found bleeding and passed out in South Nashville and detectives want to know what happened.

NASHVILLE, TN — Just before noon Tuesday, a passerby found 56-year-old Tony Corsello unresponsive and bleeding from the nose near the intersection of Foothill Drive and Murfreesboro Pike in south Nashville. The Good Samaritan called 911 and Nashville Fire Department crews treated Corsello at the scene and took him to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Tuesday night, Corsello died and police are working to determine how it happened.

An autopsy Wednesday found that Corsello had a fractured skull and broken ribs, but medical examiners could not figure out if Corsello was hit by a car, assaulted or if his injuries were caused by a fall.
Police ask that anyone who saw Corsello around Foothill Drive and Murfreesboro Pike between 10 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. Tuesday contact its South Precinct at 615-862-7744 or Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
