Nashville Man Forgets To Buckle Seat Belt, Is Arrested For Murder

A man wanted for a murder outside of an elementary school is apprehended during a routine traffic stop.

NASHVILLE, TN β€” A Nashville man is in jail tonight for murder after failing to buckle his seat belt.

Hermitage Precinct Officer Calen Morrison saw a man driving a Nissan Sentra unbuckled on Millwood Drive near Murfreesboro Road. When he pulled the car over, he found the driver to be Jim Bi, 22, who had an outstanding warrant for the murder of Jory Sweatt, 19, who was shot and killed outside of Glengarry Elementary School Oct. 22.

Bi and Sweatt knew one another in high school, according to Metro Police investigators, led by Detective Billy Traughner.
