Nashville Tourist Robbed During Craigslist Encounter: Police

A man visiting from out of town said he was forced to withdraw money by a woman standing over 6-feet tall.

NASHVILLE, TN — A tourist said he was forced to withdraw money from a South Nashville ATM by a tall woman he met on Craigslist.

The man called police around 1 a.m. Thursday and set he initially contacted the woman on the online classified site. When they met, she told him to get in her car, which he did, believing she had a gun. The woman, who the victim said stood more than 6-feet tall, then drove him to a Fifth Third Bank ATM and forced him to take out cash. The man then ran to the Zaxby's on Old Hickory Boulevard and called 911.
