No Good Deed Goes Unpunished: Would-Be Good Samaritan Rear-Ended, Arrested for DUI

After helping to assist a pedestrian on the interstate and having his car hit, a man is arrested for drunken driving.

NASHVILLE, TN — Early Tuesday morning, a driver saw a man walking along Interstate 24 near the intersection with Briley Parkway.

Thinking the pedestrian might need assistance, he pulled over. His car was then hit by another and the police were called. The would-be Good Samaritan, determined to have been under the influence, was then taken into custody on suspicion of DUI.

The interstate lanes were briefly blocked during traffic clean-up. No one involved suffered beyond minor injuries.
