Two Dead, Two Flee On Foot In Wreck On I-24
The fatal, single-car wreck at I-24 and Harding Place snarled traffic for hours.
NASHVILLE, TN — Two people were killed in a single-car wreck on I-24 near Harding Place Sunday night that tied up traffic until well after midnight.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol received a call of an overturned SUV at 7:15 p.m. One passenger was killed and another was ejected and taken to the hospital and later died. Witnesses said two other people fled from the SUV on foot and into some nearby woods after the accident.
THP closed all but one lane for westbound traffic upon arrival and it remained closed for more than five hours.
