Overturned Trailer Closes Both Sides Of I-24 For Hours
A semi-truck hit a median on I-24 near Bell Road, with one half of the load blocking each direction.
ANTIOCH, TN — A bizarre semi-truck accident closed a portion of Interstate 24 for five hours late Monday into Tuesday morning.
Around 9:45 p.m. Monday, the truck hit the median on I-24 near the Bell Road exit and partially overturned, leaving one half of the tandem trailer blocking the eastbound lanes and the other blocking the westbound lanes. The driver was uninjured and no other vehicles were involved in the wreck.

Crews were able to reopen all lanes of traffic by 2:45 a.m. Tuesday.
