Police: Drugs, Guns, Cash Seized At Antioch Home

Metro drug investigators say heroin, cocaine, pills, marijuana, $6,786 cash and four guns were discovered in an Antioch house.

ANTIOCH, TN — A smorgasbord of drugs, nearly $7,000 in cash, four guns and two felons were found during an investigation of a home in Antioch, according to police.

During surveillance of a home on Coles Branch Drive in Antioch, undercover detectives saw Donta Smith, 29, come outside and get into a Jaguar sedan. Detectives followed Smith to a car wash on West End, where they say he met Kenneth Dixon, 25, of Nashboro Boulevard.

Detectives moved in to arrest Smith, who had an outstanding felony drug warrant in Rutherford County, and both Smith and Dixon tried to run away, but both were apprehended. Smith was armed with a pistol and was carrying hydrocodone pills, police say. The detectives say Dixon discarded a pistol as he fled and that they found heroin, cocaine and marijuana inside his car.
