Police ID Driver Wanted In South Nashville Hit And Run

Police say the suspect wanted for hitting a 25-year-old woman vacated his rental and may have fled to Mexico

NASHVILLE, TN — Metro Police, acting on a citizen's tip, located the 2002 Dodge Ram suspected of being involved in a Tuesday hit and run that critically injured a 25-year-old woman.

Police found the truck abandoned in a Hermitage parking lot and tied the vehicle to Herminio Agular. Agular's landlord told investigators that Agular suddenly cleared his rental property of his personal items Wednesday. Police do not know where he fled, but he may be headed for Mexico.

Agular is wanted in connection with a hit and run on Tuesday afternoon, during which 25-year-old Shelby Lacewell was hit shortly after getting off an MTA bus on Nolensville Pike.
