Police Working to ID Gunman in South Nashville Market Hold-Up

Wearing an Oakland A's cap, the gunman robbed Ace Market using a purchase of Old English as a ruse.

NASHVILLE, TN — Metro Police detectives are seeking help from the public in identifying the man who held up a South Nashville market at gunpoint last week.

Police say the suspect — a black man who is approximately 6’2” with a large build, who was wearing an Oakland A's cap with a gold bill, a gray t-shirt and black pants — entered Ace Market on Bradford Avenue shortly after 1 p.m. October 18. He went to the corner with a can of Old English 800 malt liquor and when the cashier opened the register, the suspect drew a gun and demanded money.

Anyone recognizing the suspect is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 615-742-7463.
