Pumpkins Take Tumble as Jeep Crashes into Popular South Nashville Produce Shop

Maxwell Bros. will have to re-stack the pumpkins after a Tuesday crash.

SOUTH NASHVILLE, TN — A Jeep driver found himself between Scylla and Charybdis Tuesday evening. Or at least between gears.

The driver told Metro Police he was shifting gears when his Jeep leaped to life and he was forced to decide: drive into traffic on Nolensville Road or bail towards landmark produce retailers Maxwell Bros. The driver chose the latter.

The shop suffered a bit of damage to a fence and the corner of the building and the stacked-for-Halloween pumpkins took a tumble, but no one was hurt.
