South Nashville Business Owner Chases Down Burglar

ANTIOCH, TN — Frustrated by a series of break-ins and thefts, a Bell Road business owner decided to take matters into his own hands and stop the latest burglary himself, according to Metro Police.

The man's business was robbed twice within a few days in February, But this week, he saw a man going in and out of the business, carrying tools and other items to an SUV. The businessman followed the SUV to Murfreesboro Pike to get the license plate number. The alleged thief saw him and sped off, leading to a chase which ended with a crash.

Metro Police responded and say the man admitted to the thefts and turned over some of the tools to the businessowner.
