South Nashville Shooting Kills 1
Police found a man shot dead in a car at Murfreesboro Road and East Thompson Lane early Sunday.
NASHVILLE, TN — Metro Police found a man shot multiple times in the chest inside a car in South Nashville early Sunday.
The victim, Ammerli Josue Garcia-Munoz, 25, was discovered at a shopping center on Murfreesboro Pike near East Thompson Lane around 12:30 a.m. and taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Witnesses told police three men fled the scene in a white or silver Honda Civic. Numerous other cars in the lot were hit by bullets. Police believe Garcia-Muniz was targeted.
