South Nashville Stand-Off Ends In Arrest

An early-morning armed standoff between a domestic violence suspect and police in South Nashville ended peacefully early Thursday.

NASHVILLE TN — Police arrested a man in the wee hours of Thursday morning following a three-hour armed standoff in South Nashville.

Some time before midnight, a woman called police to her home at the intersection of Jeffrey Drive and Eisenhower Drive, alleging she'd been assaulted by her husband, who had a gun.

When the police arrived, the man initially refused to leave the home. He was taken into custody without incident at 3 a.m.

The man is charged with domestic assault by strangulation.
