Suspect Surrenders In Killing Of Ex-Girlfriend's New Boyfriend
The 28-year-old man suspected of killing his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend turned himself in Wednesday morning.

NASHVILLE, TN — The 28-year-old suspect in the shooting death of his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend surrendered to police Wednesday.
Pavan Voleti, 28, was booked and taken into custody around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday after spending two days as a fugitive. (For more updates on this story and free news alerts for your neighborhood, sign up for your local Middle Tennessee Patch morning newsletter.)
Investigators say Voleti waited outside of Brighton Valley Apartments, where his ex lived, and when she emerged with William Thomas Lee III, 31, he approached them. The woman and Lee sat in a car and they and Voleti began to argue. Then, according to detectives, Voleti fired a gun, hitting Lee who was in the passenger seat. Lee was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died.
