Two Arrested After South Nashville Robbery Spree

A 40-minute binge of stick-ups ends with two arrests.

NASHVILLE, TN β€” Police arrested two men early Wednesday morning after the pair allegedly committed several robberies in less than an hour in south Nashville.

Christian Ortega, 18, and Adaly Alvarado, 22, were charged with several counts of aggravated robbery in connection with the spree which began just after midnight.

Police say the pair approached three people on a deck on Murfreesboro Pike near the intersection with Bell Road, brandished a gun and stole money and a cell phone.

Twenty minutes later, a student at Richards Road and Antioch Pike was approached, but the suspects fled after the student said she had no money.

Ten minutes after that, the suspects demanded money from the clerk at the Delta Express convenience store at Antioch Pike and Harding Place and fled with cash and cigarettes.

Just before 1 a.m., police pulled over a car matching the description of the suspects' and said they found evidence of the robberies.
