Abandoned Suitcase Outside South Nashville Post Office Causes Scare

NASHVILLE, TN — A vintage suitcase with wires protruding from it caused a scare at the U.S Post Office on Fessler's Lane in South Nashville Monday.

Metro Police cleared the area around the post office in the 700 block of Fessler's Lane near Murfreesboro Pike and Trevecca Nazarene University shortly after 8 a.m. after the suitcase was discovered.

A 90-minute investigation determined the suitcase was not a threat, with the all-clear given around 9:45.
