Weekend Crashes Kill 2 Nashville Pedestrians
A hit and run in North Nashville and a separate crash in South Nashville killed pedestrians over the weekend.
NASHVILLE, TN — Two pedestrians died in crashes over the weekend in Nashville, including one in a hit-and-run.
Around 4:30 Saturday morning, Metro Police learned 58-year-old Sherry A. Cameron was hit by a yellow SUV with a black top and black rims, possibly a Range Rover, which may now have front-end damage. Cameron was not in a crosswalk when she was hit, according to police. She later died at Skyline Medical Center. The driver fled the scene, but a surveillance camera captured an image of the suspect vehicle.

Just after midnight Sunday, a woman crossing Nolensville Pike near Interstate 440 was hit. She was also not in the crosswalk. She was pronounced dead on the scene.
The driver of a Honda sedan stopped to help the woman. It is not known if charges will be filed.
