Woman Shot In South Nashville Drives 10 Minutes Before Calling For Help

A woman shot multiple times drove nearly a mile on Nolensville Road before seeking help.

NASHVILLE, TN — With bullets lodged in her body, a woman drove nearly a mile down Nolensville Road before seeking help for her injuries Saturday night.

A passing driver called 911, reporting a swerving car on Nolensville Road. During that call, the caller also noticed the car had a shattered back window. (For more updates on this story and free news alerts for your neighborhood, sign up for your local Middle Tennessee Patch morning newsletter.)

Officers found the car near the intersection of Nolensville and Edmonson Pike. The woman driving the car had been shot multiple times. She told first responders her car had been shot at a Little Caesar's about a mile north on Nolensville Road.

She was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. Police are developing a suspect description.
