• Unrecorded Lease Forces Partial Baxter Park Closure (theucnow.com) — Part of Baxter Park is temporarily closed because the city discovered its decades‑old lease was never officially recorded, causing insurance coverage to lapse. City officials are rushing to finalize a new five‑year lease so the older playground area off Cow Palace Drive can reopen within weeks, while the newer Blue Cross Blue Shield side of the park remains open to families.
