• Here's when the food tax rate will decrease in Nashville (wsmv.com) — Berry Hill residents will see their local grocery tax rate drop to 1.75% starting Nov. 1, lowering the combined state-and-local rate on most food to 5.75%. The cut, approved by Metro Council and applied countywide, excludes items like alcohol, tobacco, candy, supplements, and prepared foods, but should still mean noticeable annual savings for typical households.
