Brentwood Fire Department Receives 15 Pet-Sized Oxygen Masks
Tennessee-based Invisible Fence donated pet oxygen masks to Brentwood as part of its Project Breathe Week.

BRENTWOOD, TN β Tennessee-based Invisible Fence donated 15 pet oxygen masks to Brentwood Fire and Rescue Wednesday, part of its nationwide effort to reduce fire-related pet deaths.
Industry experts estimated between 40,000 and 150,000 pets die in fires due to smoke inhalation annually, as fire departments are rarely equipped with the masks necessary to treat animals.
Brentwood received five sets of three masks, which will be distributed to fire stations across Brentwood.

"We are very thankful for this donation. This will allow us to help save those pets endangered by fire. A fire is always a devastating event for the family anyway and if we can help save a pet then itβs good for the family and for us,β Chief Scott Ellis said.
Invisible Fence estimates the masks, which it distributes as part of its annual Project Breathe Week, have helped save 10,000 pets. This year the company plans to donate 13,500 masks nationwide.
