Brentwood Incumbents Win City Commission Spots
Mark Gorman, Rhea Little and Regina Smithson took the top three spots in a four-way race for the Brentwood City Commission.

BRENTWOOD, TN — There was no change to the composition of the Brentwood City Commission following Tuesday's election for three seats to the board. In a four-way race for three spots, Mark Gorman, Rhea Little and Regina Smithson kept their seats.
Unofficial returns showed that Little led the way with 2,782 votes, followed by Gorman with 2,673 votes and Smithson with 2,606 votes (26.9 percent). John Byers, the lone challenger in the race, had 1,516 votes.

Gorman, Little and Smithson will be sworn in at the May 8 Brentwood City Commission meeting.
Turnout for the election was 12.2 percent, with 3,836 of the city's 31,420 registered voters participating. The last city election in 2015 had 13.2 percent turnout.
