Brentwood Library Curbside Pick-up to Begin May 11

catalog. Patrons may also go to the Library Department of the City of Brentwood website at https://www.brentwoodtn.gov/departments/library and select β€œMy Account” in the blue box on the left. Enter the barcode from your library card into the bar code box. If you have a question about your password, please call the library at 615-371-0090 ext. 8070.

Staff will collect the requested items and send a notification by email, text or phone call. Items will be held for three days. Patrons will come to the front door and tell the staff member the first and last name on their library account. Staff members enter the library, check out items on designated library cards, place a check out receipt inside the bag, and deliver it to a table in the foyer for patrons to pick up.

At this time, the library is not accepting returns, but will begin to accept them through the book drop beginning Monday, May 18 at 9 a.m. The City of Brentwood expects the library to reopen to the public on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at 9 a.m. at which time staff will be providing all services except programming and public meetings. City facilities will be closed Monday, May 25, 2020 for Memorial Day. At this time, Inter-Library Loan, Programming, and Proctoring are cancelled until further notice.

Other City Service Updates

Brentwood Parks are open and operating under normal hours, however playgrounds, basketball courts ad park shelters will remain closed until at least the end of May in accordance with Governor Bill Lee’s Executive Order Number 30.

Services at Brentwood City Hall and the Brentwood Service Center have been operational, but we ask citizens to continue using our online services and make calls and emails as much as possible. Options are found on our website at www.brentwoodtn.gov by clicking on the β€œHow Do I” tab on the homepage. There are dozens of options citizens can achieve from home via the phone or the internet including reporting a pothole, a streetlight that is out, or signing up to receive emergency alerts.

Most services offered by the Brentwood Police Department for which walk-up customers come to the Records window can also be fulfilled online. This includes obtaining accident reports, paying traffic citations, and more. Fingerprinting services are still suspended until further notice due to the close contact.

Residents can pay water and sewer bills online. Instructions for how to complete this are online, but if you have questions about any of these services, you are always welcome to contact City Hall by calling (615) 507-2766.

Watch City Commission Meetings LIVE

The May 11 regular City Commission meeting will be held virtually due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Residents wishing to provided public input during the meeting are invited to come to City Hall 7:00 p.m. and use a computer set up inside the meeting room. Governor Lee recently issued Executive Order 34, which extends the allowance for public meetings to be conducted electronically through June 30.
