Bobby Hullett has applied for the Williamson County Commission seat left open by Tom Bain's resignation.

BRENTWOOD, TN β Long-time Brentwood resident and Williamson County Board of Education member Bobby Hullett has applied for the vacant seat on the county commission, according to The Tennessean.
The newspaper reports that Hullett, an IT consultant who has served on the school board since 2012, filed to fill the District 7 commission seat left vacant with the resignation of Tom Bain earlier this week. Bain resigned for health reasons.
Hullett told The Tennessean he would comment on the commission spot next week.

"We have a great deal of work to accomplish on the Board of Education agenda in January and I would like the focus to remain there," Hullett e-mailed, according to the paper.
State law requires the commission to fill a vacancy within 120 days. District 7 residents interested in serving as commissioner should submit a resume to the county mayor's office in person or by e-mail at countymayor@williamson-tn.org.
