Police say the man's car was caught on the tracks after he suffered a "medical issue."

BRENTWOOD, TN — A man in Brentwood was pulled from his vehicle just moments before it was struck by a train.

Police say that the driver experienced a medical issue while crossing the CSX tracks on Wilson Pike Circle and another driver managed to pull the man from the car seconds before it was hit by an oncoming locomotive.

The driver of the now-destroyed car was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, the car was removed from the tracks and Wilson Pike Circle re-opened a short time after the crash.
