Interstate 65 Crash Snarls Southbound Traffic

NASHVILLE, TN — Motorists heading south from Nashville this New Year’s Day may want to avoid Interstate 65. A jackknifed tractor trailer at Old Hickory Boulevard had traffic at a near standstill back to Harding Place Monday afternoon.

A Google Maps traffic screenshot taken around 2:30 p.m. Jan. 1 showed the impacted area. It is recommended that motorists steer clear of the area for the next few hours as the crash is investigated and the scene cleared.

The Tennessee Department of Transportation anticipates the scene will be cleared by 3:30 p.m.
