Murder Investigation Underway in Nolensville
A 43-year-old man was shot and killed inside his Nolensville home.
NOLENSVILLE, TN — A 43-year-old man was apparently shot to death inside a home on Sam Donald Road in Nolensville Sunday evening.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation identified the victim as Robert Ward.
His family told WKRN someone knocked on the door of the home around 10 p.m. Sunday.

“He grabbed a shotgun and went and seen what it was and I guess by the time he walked in the living room, and whoever it was, just started firing at the windows and shot up the house and my dad didn’t survive,” son Jordan Ward told the news station.
According to the family, Ward's 11-year-old son hid under a bed when the shooting began and called 911 after finding his dad's body.
