Reunited And Resonated: Stolen Dobro Back With Brentwood Owner
A 47-year-old Nashville man confessed to stealing several stringed instruments, according to Brentwood Police.
BRENTWOOD, TN — There was a happy ending to a story that resonated with many musicians in the Midstate, as the owner of a dobro discovered as part of a Brentwood instrument theft investigation claimed his instrument.
The man, a former touring musician, reclaimed his purloined dobro March 31 after a friend saw a news story on WSMV. Detectives believe it was stolen while it was being shipped in December of last year.
Dwight Clark, 47, of Nashville was arrested by Brentwood detectives March 21. Investigators say Clark confessed to the dobro theft and the theft of other stringed instruments in three separate robberies.
