FREE FALL CONCERT
The Williamson County Community Band will present an afternoon of live musical entertainment at the Williamson County Enrichment Center, 110 Everbright Ave., in Franklin on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 3 p.m. This free concert is open to the public, and all are invited to attend. Bring your family and friends to hear an amazing group of talented musicians from all over Williamson County! The band will be playing audience favorites including movie themes, highlights from Broadway shows, concert selections, pop music and a new international march. The program will feature music composed by George and Ira Gershwin, Meredith Wilson, Henry Mancini, John Williams and others. Refreshments will be served.
Sponsored by the Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department (WCPR), this all-volunteer band of amateur and seasoned musicians features approximately 60 members ranging in age from pre-teen to upper 80’s. Everyone is welcome to pick up their instrument and join the band. Started in 2000, this band has grown and gained musical recognition and acclaim over the years throughout Williamson County and the surrounding mid-state area.

FALL BREAK LIFEGUARD TRAINING COURSES
Offered at Local Recreation Centers
The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department’s (WCPR) Aquatics Division will host a series of Fall Break Lifeguard Training Courses in October. Three separate training courses will be held at recreation centers in Brentwood, Franklin and Spring Hill October 12-16. Courses are open to teens (must be 15 years of age upon completion of the course) and adults and feature a blended learning approach with a mixture of online and in-person instruction. Course dates included:
- Franklin / Tuesday, October 12 – Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily
Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Rd.
* First day of class will meet at the Indoor Sports Complex - Spring Hill / Wednesday, October 13 – Friday, October 15, 2021 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily
Longview Recreation Center at Spring Hill, 2909 Commonwealth Dr.
* First day of class will meet at the Indoor Sports Complex - Brentwood / Thursday, October 14 – Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily

Class sizes are limited, and advanced, in-person registration is required for all courses. Registration will begin at 12:00 noon on Saturday, September 25, 2021.
