Williamson County Tops in Tennessee in Voter Turnout
Seventy-two percent of WIlliamson County's registered voters cast a ballot in the November election.

FRANKLIN, TN β Williamson County led Tennessee in voter turnout for the November presidential election, according to statistics from the Secretary of State and the Division of Elections.
"The citizens of Williamson County consistently rank in the top three counties in voter participation for federal and state elections and has garnered the highest turnout in two out of the last three presidential elections in Tennessee,β the county's Administrator of Elections, Chad Gray, said.
There were 108,234 ballots cast in the November election for a turnout of 72.1 percent, with 81,124 of those cast during the early voting period.

Wilson County and Loudon County rounded out the state's top three turnout counties.
While 72 percent is a sterling number, the title for highest turnout for an election in Williamson County came during the most recent Thompson's Station annexation vote with 100 percent turnout.
