Williamson County Unemployment Down Slightly, Still State's Lowest
The Williamson County jobless rate of 3.5 percent is Tennessee's lowest mark.

NASHVILLE, TN — The unemployment rate in Williamson County was 3.5 percent in September, down 0.2 percent from the September figure, according to the Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development.
Once again, Williamson County has the state's lowest unemployment rate, slightly better than Davidson County's 3.7 percent. Of the 10 lowest county numbers, nine were in Middle Tennessee.
In the last year, the Williamson County jobless number has dropped 0.3 percent.

The estimated city-level figure for Brentwood is 3.7 percent. In neighboring Franklin, it is 3.4 percent, the lowest among the state's cities of at least 25,000 people.
The state rate, reported last week, is 4.8 percent, up 0.2 percent from August.
