Williamson County Unemployment Rate Falls Sharply in April, Still State's Lowest
The unemployment rate fell in all of Tennessee's 95 counties in April, with Williamson's down to 2.6 percent.

NASHVILLE, TN — The unemployment rate in Williamson County was 2.6 percent in April, down sharply — 0.7 percent — from the March figure, according to the Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development. The unemployment rate dropped in all of Tennessee's 95 counties.
Once again, Williamson County has the state's lowest unemployment rate, slightly better than Davidson County's 2.7 percent. All of the 10 lowest county numbers were in Middle Tennessee.

In the last year, the Williamson County jobless number has decreased 0.4 percent.
The estimated city-level figure for Brentwood is 2.8. In neighboring Franklin, it is 2.5 percent, the lowest among the state's cities of at least 25,000 people.

The state rate, reported last week, is 4.7 percent, down 0.4 percent from March.
