Williamson County Unemployment Rate Up Slightly in December, Still State's Lowest
The unemployment rate rose in all 95 counties in Tennessee in December, with Williamson's up to 3.5 percent.

NASHVILLE, TN — The unemployment rate in Williamson County was 3.5 percent in December, up 0.1 percent from the November figure, according to the Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development. The unemployment rate rose in all of Tennessee's 95 counties.
Once again, Williamson County has the state's lowest unemployment rate, slightly better than Davidson County's 3.6 percent. Of the 10 lowest county numbers, eight were in Middle Tennessee.
In the last year, the Williamson County jobless number has dropped 0.2 percent.

The estimated city-level figure for Brentwood is 3.6 percent. In neighboring Franklin, it is 3.3 percent, the lowest among the state's cities of at least 25,000 people.
The state rate, reported last week, is 4.9 percent, up 0.1 percent from November.
