UPDATE: Chattanooga man charged with attempted murder after shooting man in neck (local3news.com) โ€” Chattanooga police have charged 31-year-old Devonta Shepherd with attempted first-degree murder after a man was shot in the neck during a fight outside a church on Tunnel Boulevard. Investigators used security video, witness statements, and a nickname match to identify the suspect, who was later arrested and booked into the Hamilton County Jail ahead of a September 16 court appearance.
