Clarksville Gas and Water Department Completes South Third Street Water Main Leak Repair Ahead of Schedule (clarksvilleonline.com) — Clarksville Gas and Water has finished repairing the South Third Street water main leak ahead of schedule, restoring water service and reopening the road between Madison and Commerce. Residents and drivers in the area can resume normal water use and traffic, though officials urge caution as crews may still be clearing equipment from the work zone.
   

2. TRAFFIC ALERT: Several vehicles crash on Fort Campbell Boulevard (clarksvillenow.com) — A serious multi-vehicle crash has shut down all southbound and two northbound lanes of Fort Campbell Boulevard near Jack Miller Boulevard in Clarksville, backing up traffic for a long stretch in both directions. One person is being flown to Nashville, and police urge drivers to avoid the area and use alternate routes until the scene is cleared.
   

3. At 24, APSU social work alum joins national juvenile justice leadership board (clarksvillenow.com) — A 24-year-old Austin Peay social work graduate and Montgomery County juvenile probation officer, Isaiah Polk, has been named chair of the Coalition for Juvenile Justice’s Emerging Leaders Committee. From his base in Clarksville, he’s bringing local juvenile justice experience to national policy discussions, emphasizing mentorship, youth engagement, and community support for at-risk young people.
   

4. Kitten trapped in Clarksville storm drain rescued after 3-day effort (clarksvillenow.com) — City and county crews in Clarksville spent three days rescuing a trapped kitten from a storm drain near Cumberland Drive, finally pulling him to safety on June 7. Now named Rascal, he’s recovering well in a foster home through Montgomery County Animal Care and Control and should be available for adoption in a few weeks.
