The donation, worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, will keep the 30,000-square-foot space usable year-round so the nonprofit can better serve local veterans, foster children, disaster victims, and unhoused neighbors.

Clarksville Academy's season remains 'week-to-week' after 52-6 loss to Ezell-Harding (clarksvillenow.com) — Clarksville Academy’s football team is battling through a tough season with only 11 healthy players after a 52-6 homecoming loss to Ezell-Harding, but finally got its first touchdown of the year. Coaches say the rest of the schedule, including an Oct. 8 game against Donelson Christian, will depend on whether enough players are healthy each week.

3. BBQ Fest Across the River set for Oct. 9-10 (mainstreetmediatn.com) — Montgomery County Parks and Recreation is bringing back BBQ Fest Across the River to RichEllen Park on Oct. 9–10, with support from Visit Clarksville and local sponsors. Residents can enjoy free admission, sample competition barbecue with a $10 tasting ticket, and even compete in a new cornhole tournament, with proceeds benefiting local youth programs.

4. Clarksville judge's mentorship program offers young offenders a different path (newschannel5.com) — A long-running mentorship-based diversion program led by Montgomery County Judge Ken Goble Jr. is giving nonviolent juvenile offenders in Clarksville a chance to meet regularly with Austin Peay student mentors instead of facing detention. Meetings on the APSU campus focus on mental health, school performance, and future plans, and organizers are now raising scholarship funds to help graduates continue their education.

5. Kentucky murder suspect arrested in Clarksville, U.S. Marshals say (wkrn.com) — Federal marshals and local officers arrested a Kentucky murder suspect Wednesday night at a home on Timber Court Drive in Clarksville. The man is accused in the killing of a pregnant woman in Pineville, Kentucky, and remains jailed in Tennessee while investigators process evidence from the Clarksville residence and prepare for his extradition.
