How is F3 different? Let me count the ways...
It starts with the F3 Core Principles:
- Free of charge
- Open to all men
- Held outdoors, rain or shine, heat or cold
- Peer led in a rotating fashion
- Ends in a Circle of Trust
So what does all of that mean? If you attend an F3 workout, the first thing you'll notice is that the vibe is very different from any other workout you've done. There is a very different dynamic because 1. everybody is there because they want to be and 2. because it's all men. That creates a different culture that you won't find anywhere else. This is a proving ground. This is training for the road ahead.
Somewhere between waking up stupid early, dragging your butt through the dark and quiet streets, working, sweating, and grunting to the point of exhaustion, laughing at each other, encouraging each other--something amazing happens: you realize are actually having fun. And it suddenly seems worth it. You start to understand that this is much, much more than a workout.
You don't have to be a baller. We all start just exactly where we are. All you need is to want to improve: yourself, your family, your church, your vocation, your community. You fill in the blank. These men will encourage you, ridicule you when you need it, sharpen you, celebrate you, and above all, they will call you higher in every way. If you want to be a better man you have to get around better men. Suffer in silence no more. We can all improve no matter how competent we are. I can assure you that being around other committed men will test and improve you.
We aren't trying to get physically fit: we are building HIMs (High Impact Men). Fitness is just the foundation on which we build. But it's not about where you are, it's where you're going. We aim to create confident and competent leaders in our community. Men who show up and do the needful. Men who do what cowards won't.
So you can stay in bed, fartsack, and stay the same, or you can show up and improve yourself and by extension, your world. I hope you get after it, brother.
