2 Arrested For East Nashville Partial Decapitation
A man and a woman were arrested Friday for the near-capitation of a man in East Nashville Thursday.

EAST NASHVILLE, TN — Detectives arrested a man and woman for the murder of a man who died after being nearly decapitated and left beside an East Nashville dumpster.
Lewis Shuler, 31, and Tiffany Biggs, 25, are charged with Thursday’s stabbing and partial decapitation murder of Tremayne Cross. (For more updates on this story and free news alerts for your neighborhood, sign up for your local Middle Tennessee Patch morning newsletter.)
Investigators say Cross, 45, lived near Shuler and Biggs on Charles E. Davis Boulevard in the J.C. Napier public housing development and left with them shortly after 1 a.m. in a black Dodge Charger. Detectives say evidenceindicates the Charger traveled to the area of S. 4th Street and Shelby Avenue., where a citizen discovered Cross on the ground at 1:40 a.m. and called police.

Shuler and Biggs are believed to have returned to the J.C. Napier area alone momentarily before driving the Charger a short distance to Mildred Shute Avenue where it was set on fire, according to police. The car was recovered Thursday.
Shuler and Biggs are being held in lieu of $1 million bond each.
