28-Year-Old Arrested In Fatal Hermitage Hit-And-Run

A 60-year-old motorcyclist died after a hit-and-run crash with an allegedly intoxicated driver, who fled the scene, Nashville police say.

HERMITAGE, TN — A 28-year-old man who was driving drunk fled the scene of a fatal wreck in Hermitage Sunday, according to Metro Police.

Robert L. Jordan Jr., 60, and James C. Clark, 67, were riding motorcycles on Old Hickory Boulevard when they were hit head-on by a 2005 Nissan Altima coming from the opposite direction. Jordan was pronounced dead on the scene. Clark remains hospitalized in stable condition. Witnesses said the driver of the car, later identified as Zachary Joseph Price, 28, and his passenger, 18-year-old Ali Nation, got out of the car at the scene. Price then allegedly run towards a nearby neighborhood. Nation remained on the scene and was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Police said they located Price at a relative's home. He was asleep and appeared to be intoxicated when they arrived.

He is charged with vehicular homicide by intoxication, vehicular assault and leaving the scene of a fatal crash. Detectives found evidence of alcohol and drug use inside the Altima, MNPD said.
