Car Thieves Shoot At Goodlettsville Man Attempting To Thwart Them
Thieves shot at a man trying to stop them and escaped arrest in a Wednesday morning confrontation in Goodlettsville.
GOODLETTSVILLE, TN — Car thieves shot at a Goodlettsville man attempting to thwart their heist on Gates Drive in the wee hours of Wednesday morning.
According to police, the man saw two people attempting to break-in to a Toyota 4Runner around 1 a.m. and went outside to confront them. One of the thieves fired a gun before the pair drove off in the SUV. No one was injured. An officer spotted the vehicle on Interstate 40 a short time later and attempted to stop it, but the thieves were able to escape.
