Donelson Hotel Fire: Citations Coming For Faulty Alarm
The Comfort Suites in Donelson faces fines after its fire alarm failed to sound during a weekend lightning fire.

DONELSON, TN — The Comfort Suites that caught fire after a lightning strike Saturday faces fines after its alarm system failed to sound during the blaze.

Everyone was evacuated and no one was hurt, in large part, investigators said, because guests ran up and down the hallways, knocking on doors to alert others about the blaze on the roof.

Hotels are required to have their fire alarms tested annually.
